The Golf Place Villa

A developer-empty shell in Golf Place — handed over with nothing but light, glass and a golf-course horizon. The brief from Ventura Stays was disarming in its simplicity: a six-bedroom residence, turnkey, in two months.

We worked from a deliberately narrow palette — walnut, travertine, beige fabric and white linen — and let proportion and craft do the rest. Every piece of furniture was designed and made in our own workshop, from the deep corduroy cinema seating to the long travertine banquettes that wrap the sky lounge.

The result is a villa that reads as one quiet, continuous gesture across nine principal rooms. Soft where it should be soft, monolithic where it should be still — and, against the odds of an eight-week programme, never hurried.
